New start!

I'm a full fledged homeschool mom now.  The virtual school experiment last for all of 3 weeks.  So much has happened since then, but here I am now with updates.

Nutrition

Right now, I'm a vegetarian.  I eat very limited amounts of dairy and no eggs.  I find that I feel good eating this way and it makes me happy, but I really don't know anything.  I want to expand my horizons a little bit.

I'm starting a nutrition class today from the University of California at San Francisco through Coursera.  I want to be able to step up my knowledge about what is really good for me.

Website

I'm getting back into working on my homeschool website so that I can sort of rebuild the homeschooling community that I had years ago.  As a community, I think we can offer a lot of help to new homeschoolers or to veterans that are just getting worn out.

So, that's what I'm doing for now!

Semi-Homeschooling

We're going to try out a virtual academy this year. So my son will technically be in public school, but he'll still be at home. It's pretty neat because he can work at his own pace. He can get ahead in science and just kinda keep up in language arts.

They say it's a good program for advanced students because they can move ahead by up to 2 grade levels.

Big Cat Diary

I started following Jackson Looseyia's Blog today. I missed Big Cat Live and I want to keep up with all of the different cats he keeps up with. I love cats and want to learn everything about them.
